Besides the obvious, wanting the guests to enjoy catching the trophies with no hassle release, goal is to make guests as comfortable as possible.\rAnother important reason is the main lake and the Churchill River system. The lodge guests have over 56 miles to fish. While yes, you may fish off the dock and catch monster fish - it has been done many times - there is so much to explore on the lake. There are rushing waterfalls, rock paintings that date back to the early 1800s (paintings that have lasted that long in the sun and through the rain), monuments dedicated to soldiers - oh, don't forget to ask your guide about Swimming Stone!\rLodge guides are Cree Nation and are native to the area. Most of them have grown up on or around the lake. They know this area as well as you know your living-room. When the boat stops in the middle of the lake or along the shore and your guide says "this is where to drop your line" it's best to do just that! Each of them have their own honey holes that have either been passed down from their ancestors or they have found it on their own. One thing for sure - they like to keep their fishing holes a secret - rarely do they share a handful of locations among one another.\rBEAR HUNTING:\rAt this lodge, there are numerous areas available for guests and their group to gather and socialize, regardless of its size. In addition to the living room in your cabin, lodge has a special place called The Bear's Den in the main lodge. This cozy spot features a large TV and a comfortable sofa, making it a favorite among guests of the lodge. Another popular spot is the fire-pit, where laughter and storytelling abound. As long as the weather permits, a roaring fire is always ready to provide a relaxing atmosphere.\rWith an impressive 96% rate of repeat guests, it is often mentioned that our meals are plentiful, fishing opportunities are abundant, and sleep is deep and restful.\rThis Lodge is renowned for offering a fishing experience like no other. Even on a slow day here, you can expect to have a better fishing experience than at other locations.\rAll of the lodge hunting packages include fishing as well. Owners take great pride in their guaranteed hunting policy, with a success rate of 98% in terms of providing an opportunity to shoot a bear. Each lodge site is equipped with trail cams that capture evidence of animal presence. If the desired animal is not spotted, we continue to bait that site while relocating the trail cams to another location.\rMost hunts take place after a delicious shore-lunch. However, if a particular site is being frequently visited earlier in the day, our experienced guides will adjust accordingly. Scopes are not necessary here, as the furthest shot for our guests will be approximately 25 yards. Knowledgeable lodge guides are dedicated to ensuring that guests are thrilled with their trophy.\rHunts are scheduled during the last week of May and the first two weeks of June, as well as the last week of August and the first two weeks of September.
